Sponsorship at Norwin Soccer
Where champions are born...
The Norwin Soccer Club is proud to have developed into one of the largest soccer programs in Western Pennsylvania providing an opportunity for nearly 1,000 kids to play the sport they love. Your sponsorship support is important because you are helping to keep our fees low, and therefore more affordable, to more Norwin area families.
Soccer's popularity in Europe and South America already makes it one of the most popular and best-attended sports in the world. This popularity has found its way to America where World Soccer and U.S. Pro Soccer games are now televised nationally.
The game delivers a high level of excitement and requires skill and energy from its players. Young players are drawn to the challenge and fun of the game. The quality of the Club's organization, development of coaches, and player skills have earned the Norwin Soccer Club consideration among the elite programs in Western Pennsylvania.
With the Norwin Varsity Girls ' and Varsity Boys' success in WPIAL competition, the Norwin Soccer Club continues to attract more players to the program. Most of Norwin's Varsity players learned their skills during many seasons of play in the Norwin Club. In addition to skill development, Club players reap the lifelong benefits of aerobic conditioning, increased self esteem and an understanding of "teamwork".
The quality of the Club's player and coaching development have earned the Norwin Soccer Club elite status among the many programs offered in Western Pennsylvania.

Facilities and Administration
To Play soccer, we need playing fields. We are fortunate to have two large complexes, Oak Hollow (Nike Site) and Turner Valley, that serve a large part of our needs.
Maintaining these fields is one of our largest expenses. Games are played in all weather. Over a period of time, the wear on the fields, including play in wet weather, can require major rehabilitation. In addition, there is building maintenance, road maintenance and leasing costs for other practice fields. (Although we have enough fields for most of our games, we need to lease other facilities from local communities and the school district for practices.) We also have insurance, professional and general administrative expenses.

Training and Dues
The Norwin Soccer Club belongs to the regional sanctioning organization, the Pennsylvania West Soccer Association, which is the next level in a chain of organizations that ultimately ends with the national body, United States Youth Soccer Federation (USYSF). This affiliation gives the Club access to training material, clinics and courses for coaches and players. There are costs incurred for our membership as well as participation. Sometimes these costs include facilities rental for such programs as coaching license classes or registration fees for participants. Clinics are regularly offered and encouraged for all coaches. Training is required for mid to upper level coaches. Various levels of training are available for coaching licenses in order to qualify them for different levels of play. This enables the Club to offer a high standard of instruction to our players.
-
Keeping Participation Costs Low
Our main goal is to keep the sport affordable for the players. Although the cost per season is competitive with other sports in our region, soccer is a two season sport. This makes soccer more expensive to a family on an annual basis. If a family has more than two players, their cost could be in the hundreds of dollars annually. Our corporate sponsors make an enormous contribution to the youth of our communities by helping us keep soccer an affordable sport.
-
Expansion
The Norwin Soccer Club has an endless challenge to generate more field time for an ever-expanding program. This means keeping our fields in top shape in order to avoid having to close them for rehabilitation. It also means that if we could illuminate them for night play we could gain even more utilization. We currently are not able to light our fields and hope to accomplish this goal in the future. In addition, there are other needed capital improvements such as road and lot upgrades as well as improvements to our concession stands and comfort facilities.
Summary Of How Your Sponsorship Investment Is Utilized:
- Keeps participation costs affordable for players' families.
- Pays for field rehabilitation.
- Pays for training and affiliation with PA West organization.
- Pays for needed improvements to our facilities.
- Through all of the above, your sponsorship enables the Club to provide a top quality program to its players that builds high levels of skill and is fun.
