Tiny Kickers Soccer

I would like to welcome all new and returning players and families to our soccer club. The main objective in Tiny Kickers soccer is to have FUN, FUN, FUN! We teach children beginner soccer skills hidden within fun games and give them the chance to meet new friends.

Here are a few things you will need:

  • A #3 soccer ball with your name and phone number on it
  • A water bottle
  • Shin guards covered with socks
  • Outdoor soccer shoes OR any good turf shoe (Do not spend a fortune as they grow out of them quickly)
  • Players may wear anything under their shirts to keep warm if it is cold, just avoid metal zippers and dangling strings

COACHES

Hopefully, all teams will have 2 coaches. At this age level experience is really not necessary. A coach’s attitude is much more important in Tiny Kickers than the coach’s skill level. I will provide a list of lesson plans each week to help guide the coaches. The lesson plans will be very simple and FUN! Coaching at this level is extremely fun, easy, and VERY rewarding!

SHIRTS

We will distribute team shirts prior to the start of the season. The coach will contact you to let you know the team color.

WEATHER

YES…we play soccer in the rain and/or snow. It is up to you as a parent to decide if your child plays in snowy or rainy weather. We will only cancel if the fields are closed. Please check the website at www.norwinsoccer.org for field closures. I recommend signing up for the text and/or email alerts which can be done from our website.

I am very dedicated to coordinating a program that strives for your children to have FUN! I want them to learn, I want them to look forward to Saturday mornings, and I want them to love this sport! I want the coaches to have a rewarding experience and feel that they are an important part of the Norwin Soccer Club. I cannot stress enough that the parents are the most important piece to the NSC. Please contact me with any questions, ideas, or comments. Thank you to all of the parents for allowing me to be part of their child’s soccer experience.

Thank you,
Lauren Karcher
