IN-HOUSE Coed U11-U13 & U14-U19

Welcome Soccer Players and Parents!

We would like to welcome all new players and all returning players and families to the NSC Coed in-house soccer program. NSC is dedicated to providing a fun learning environment for all youth soccer players! Our Coed in-house program is designed to provide players with developmentally appropriate soccer training in a fun, and fair atmosphere. While the program is considered recreational, we strive for equal balance and competitiveness among the teams.

Coaching/Training:

Our coaches are parent volunteers who are encouraged to teach the players while also promoting FUN!  Coaches will be required to complete the U.S. Soccer's Introductory to Grassroots Coaching course. Training by the coaches is offered 1 evening a week. At times, a second night may be made available.

Coaching is a way to volunteer and be engaged throughout the season, and at this level is very exciting and VERY rewarding!

Games:

U11-U13 and U14-U19 in-house games are played each Saturday generally at our CNX Turner Valley complex. Here are a few things to remember:

1.    All players must wear shin guards and cleats (no metal, and no baseball or football cleats permitted) to all practices and games

2.    Players should bring water or sports drink to all practices and games

3.    Socks are to be on the outside of the shin guards

4.    No jewelry of any kind is permitted. Band-Aids cannot be worn over earrings

5.    Players may wear anything under their shirts to keep warm if it is cold, just avoid metal zippers and dangling strings If it has a hood, it must be tucked           in.

6.    A soccer ball (size 4 for U11-U13 and size 5 for U14-U19) with your name and phone number

7.    Depending on registration numbers, the age groups may play co-ed teams from Elizabeth Forward and/or Yough. Note that this may require traveling           to their field at most once per season.

Jerseys:

All Players are required to purchase one white and one navy blue jersey when registering if they don't have one from a prior season or they need a new size. The jerseys will be distributed to you prior to the start of the season if you didn't register after the close of registration.

Weather:

YES… we play soccer in the rain and/or snow. It is up to you as a parent to decide if your child plays in snowy or rainy weather. We will only cancel if the fields are closed. Please check the website at www.norwinsoccer.org, NSC Facebook page and emails for any field closures.

Tournament Day:

We will have an end of season tournament at the conclusion of both the Spring and Fall seasons. This will consist of lots of delicious food, fun games, and lots of soccer. This is a day where we can spend time with our families, friends, and support the love of the game, even with a chance to win a trophy.

We are committed to the development of youth soccer. We strive to provide the opportunity for all the players to play the game and develop a LOVE for soccer. We want the players to have FUN and be proud to be a member of the Norwin Soccer Community. We want the coaches to have a rewarding experience! We want them to learn, love, and support the NSC. We cannot stress enough that the parents are the most important piece to our club. Please contact us with any questions, ideas, or comments. And most of all thank you for allowing us to share in your child’s soccer experience.
