Inhouse (Nike) Soccer Tournament Day Parking Request - 5/26/05
As most of you already know, parking can be a huge issue on tournament day... There is never enough spaces. We are once again, urging that you follow the below parking schedule according to where you will be playing your games on Tournament Day. Please....Please pass this info on to all visiting guests as well, and consider car pooling with Grandparents, aunts, Uncles and or friends coming to watch on this FUN day.
If you are to park in OUR lot via the YMCA, DO NOT... I repeat, DO NOT park in front of the YMCA building and or next to the building blocking any part of the driveway accessing our lot. YOU WILL BE TOWED AT YOUR EXPENSE BY THE YMCA. Also remember that blocking the area creating only one lane in and out is a HUGE risk if any of our players or guests should require an ambulance due to an injury or sudden illness. If you see our lot is full, PLEASE, even if you are scheduled to play and park here, drive over to Oak Hollow and walk (you can always drop off any person with walking difficulties) See Below. (there is also ONE handicap space directly next to the building, please keep open for those who need to use it)
- Games scheduled on Fld 1-2-3-4 at Nike Site, park at our lot behind concession
- Games scheduled on Fld 5-6 next to Basketball court, park at the lot in Oak Hollow Park
- Games scheduled on the hill... Fld 9-10-11-12-13 either park at Oak Hollow Lot or follow road further into park and drive up the hill behind Fld #10. (there is a dirt/stone access on your right to get up on top of the grassy hill)
Schedule for Tournament day will be sent on as soon as they are available.
A reminder that DOGS are not permitted on our property at all. Dogs are also not permitted within 25 feet of any of the soccer fields in Oak Hollow Park even though they allow within the park itself. This rule is written and enforced by the North Huntingdon Parks and Recreation Department for the protection of all the children, soccer players included.

Update on Parking - 4/30/05
As requested in the Parking notice dated 4/15/05, the YMCA has requested that we not park in front of their building. When they close for the day, they need to lock up their gate. If Soccer parents are parked there the gate cannot be shut. We totally support the YMCA in their request that we not park in front of their building. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD NORWIN SOCCER PARENTS AND GUESTS PARK IN FRONT OF THEIR BUILDING. They have allowed use to use their property below field 1 as a parking lot, we do not want abuse this privledge. Below is the notice from the YMCA.
The YMCA appreciates the notification which was sent concerning parking and restriction therein, but there have been some NSC members & guests who did not heed the warning. Thus I am sending the NSC members and guests a courtsey reminder of the following. Please make sure that NSC members and quests are aware of the fact that if there are any unauthorized vechicle in front of the YMCA they will be towed this Saturday April 30th. Arrangements have been made with a local towing company and unauthorized vehicles will be removed by noon. Clara does not want to work overtime thus the garage will be called at 11:30 for beginning the removal of any unauthorized vehicles.

4-15-2005 - Important Parking Information
To insure adequate parking for everyone at Nike on Saturdays, it is necessary to assign parking areas based on your game. If your games are assigned on Fields 1-4 you can park in the Nike complex. If your games are assigned on Field 5 and up please park in Oak Hollow Park. Please also insure that you notify any guests you have invited to watch your children's games.
It is important that you do not park in the following area:
- Do not park in or around the YMCA building. Any cars parked in these areas will be towed at your expense.
- Do not park along the driveway coming into Nike or coming into Oak Hollow Park. We need clear access to these roads incase of emergency. Imagine if a child is hurt and needs an ambulence but it is unable to get through due to parked cars.
You can view or download a map or our Nike Complex for a layout of the fields and available parking areas.

Message from the Chairman
Hello and Happy New Year to all new and returning soccer families.
With the turn of the year, it is now time to direct our attention to the quickly approaching Spring season. It may be cold outside and there may even be snow on the ground or in the forecast, but a flurry of activity is going on behind the scenes to ensure a terrific soccer season for all.
- Upgrades to our facilities continue to be a focus of our program. Seeding of goal boxes, purchasing corner flags and balls, and disposing of old, steel goals in favor of new aluminum goals are a few examples of how the club is striving to give your child the best playing experience possible. In addition, we will be phasing out many of the old, worn nets in favor of new ones.
- Whether you are new to the club or an old veteran, I encourage you to check out the new program in which you can register online using a credit card. The name of the program is PreEnroll. We are hoping this will give families another avenue in which to register that should prove to be streamlined, quick, and convenient.
- I also encourage you to get involved with your child's soccer experience. You can do this by becoming a coach, team mom or dad, volunteering with the auxiliary, helping with the fields, or becoming a referee. If you want to get involved and are not sure how, you can contact me or any other board member through the club's web site or by calling the club's voice message system and leaving a message with the person of your choice.
In closing, I would like to extend sincere wishes from the board of directors to all of the families in our club for you to have a wonderful soccer experience this spring season. I would also like to say a personal "thank you" to all of the volunteers, coaches, board members, and especially the families. Without all of you and all that you do, there would be no Norwin Soccer Club.
Eric M. Morgan
